Just a small town kid, I escaped the mountains only to return years later to write about them.

I am a contributing creative nonfiction editor at Barren Magazine and I produce as many essays that my brain can muster a year.

My work is published widely, and has been nominated for inclusion in the Best Small Fictions anthology, Best of the Net anthology, and the Pushcart Prize. I have a hybrid micro chapbook of poetry and micro fiction titled I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A BOND GIRL with The Daily Drunk Press, and a poetry chapbook titled CICADA SONG with Finishing Line Press.
